This was my first experience ever at a podiatrist. The receptionist was very friendly. Iveta, the podiatrist, was not only friendly, but went the extra mile to make sure I got the most out of the appointment. She tackled every detail and explained everything I needed to know about routine at home care.I definitely recommend this clinic, great first experience!

Active Life Podiatry was a lifeline when my feet, knees and spine were in trouble. I had attempted to get orthotics on the NHS but those provided by the NHS made walking even more difficult. Walking is key to health. John and his team were extremely kind and understanding and took time, patience and precision to make orthotics that made me feel more able immediately and then made adjustments as I became more able to walk. I can't thank them enough. I will return in a year or two or whenever my ability to walk deteriorates.Many, many thanks
John was fantastic. My son had been dealing with a recurring infection from an ingrown nail. John put him at ease, explained everything he was doing, and after one treatment the issue was resolved. The receptionist is also lovely and was very helpful when trying to sort my insurance.

John is a brilliant podiatrist who I have been seeing for years to prevent hip and knee problems with my orthosis. He has also resolved my plantar fascitis and toe problems, advising on exercises to help. He has a good calm manner, technical expertise, is good at explanations for the patient and has equipment to offer good diagnosis, measurement and treatment. Highly recommend
I was referred to ALP after achilles problems failed to heal long term after an injury. John diagnosed a contributing problem quickly after an assessment, in that one leg is longer than the other. I had inserts made by ALP to level them out. There has been a dramatic improvement, with no recurring issues, and i definitely waqlk and jog better, and feel safer, more stable and I am so glad I was able to have this treated by a specialist. I will be ordering another spare set.
That was the best treatment I received. John listens and tries to find the origin of the pain. He also suggested corrective exercises and really took the time to check I was doing them well. This is highly valuable.

Highly recommend Active Life Podiatry. I had foot problems to the extent I could not walk. John knew straight away what it was (cuboid syndrome) and i left walking normally with no pain. Since then I now have insoles and have had acupuncture done - both are brilliant. John has so much experience, I have full trust in him. All the people that work there are all incredibly friendly too. Highly recommend.
I have been going to John Durkin for many years. I started going to him as a teenager and he got rid of the back ache that I was suffering from with the help of orthotics and specific exercises. Despite not living in London anymore, I continue to seek out his services because he is a true professional with a firm knowledge in his field. I could not recommend him and his clinic highly enough!

John is a real expert. I’ve been going to his practice for more than 15 years, and he’s recently treated me for Achilles tendinopathy. Not only has he managed to successfully treat it, as he has with everything else I’ve ever been to see him with, but he is very gentle and incredibly kind, experienced and highly knowledgable.
